Blue21 presented the Belize City Floating Boardwalk Feasibility Project at the Smart City Expo World Congress, highlighting the role of floating infrastructure in climate resilience and coastal adaptation.

The project was presented by Blue21 Senior Business Developer Fen-Yu (Vicky) Lin together with Eluide D. Miller, Deputy Mayor of Belize City. The initiative is being developed in collaboration with the Belize City Council and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), and is co-funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.

The feasibility study explores how floating infrastructure can create safe and inclusive public space, reduce coastal erosion by mitigating wave impact, and serve as a replicable model for climate innovation and public–private collaboration. The project aims to translate climate ambition into implementable solutions through strong planning, partnerships, and innovative financing.

The presentation formed part of broader discussions at the congress on how cities worldwide can accelerate climate adaptation and move from strategy to measurable impact.
