Blue21 attending World Conference on Floating Solutions 2023

Exciting month ahead! The 3rd World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS) will take place in Tokyo this year from 28-30 August.

Initiated by the the Society of Floating Solutions Singapore (SFSS), the World Conference on Floating Solutions aims to disseminate research and technological progress in floating, raise awareness on this future-proof innoavation and engage stakeholders to folster a climate-resilient future together.

In 2020 Blue21 co-ogranized the World Conference on Floating Solutions. This year, Blue21 cofounder and managing director, Dr. Rutger de Graaf, will give a keynote speech at the conference. The trip will be joined by cofounder, Karina Czapiewska, project leaders Barbara Dal Bo Zanon and Fen-Yu (Vicky) Lin.

Several papers from Blue21 have been submitted by the committee and will be presented during the conference, including “Stakeholder acceptance of large-scale floating developments: insights from social theory and realized projects”, “A framework for environmental impact assessment of floating development” and “Sustainable floating city production systems – Moving towards industry 5.0”.

We look forward to sharing knowledge and exploring collaboration opportunities with old and new friends on floating projects together.
