Blue21 co-founder speaking at TU Delft for Life | Xperience week

Blue21 co-founder, Dr. Rutger de Graaf-van Dinther, has been invited to speak at TU Delft for Life | Xperience week on Friday 11 June 2021 from 20:00 – 21:30 (CEST). Registration is now open here!

This year TU Delft and Delft University Fund have organized five online evenings from 7 to 11 June 2021 for the Xperience week. Latest work and ambitions in various fields will be introduced by TU Delft scientists and alumni in different sessions, including Artificial Intelligence, Tech for Health and Adaptation to Sea Level Rise, Challenges and Solutions.

Sea level rise poses major challenges for low-lying coastal areas. In the session of “Adaptation to Sea Level Rise, Challenges and Solutions”, Bas Jonkman, Mathijs Van Ledden and Rutger de Graaf-van Dinther will discuss these challenges and explore potential solutions for the Netherlands to adapt its dunes, dikes and storm surge barriers. They will then look at other countries, including coastal adaptation programmes in Bangladesh. Finally, they will look at alternative ways of adapting coastal zones such as floating cities.

Spaces are limited, we advise you to register as soon as possible.

The event will be conducted in English. For more information about the whole programme, please visit TU Delft website.
