Blue21 presenting at webinar organized by Global Center on Adaptation
Blue21 is honored to be invited among other Dutch experts to present sustainable floating solutions at the GCA webinar at 16:00-17:00 CET, 2 September 2021.
In the face of rapid urbanization, overpopulation and climate change, the coastal communities are the first to be exposed to threats such as flooding and rising sea level. Floating urban development could help increase the resilience of these communities and adapt to climate change in a more sustainable and cost-effective manner in the long term.
In this webinar, the founder of Blue Revolution Foundation, Rutger de Graaf, and Blue21 project coordinator, Fen-Yu (Vicky) Lin, will give short presentations on the following topics:
- Training module on floating development – Dr. Rutger de Graaf-van Dinther, Chairman and Founder, Blue Revolution Foundation
- What is the need for floating development with future projections of sea level rise and flooding? Examples from around the world – Vicky Lin, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS2020)
Registration and more info about the program are available on GCA webpage here.
