Rotterdam opens Aqua Dock
On november 2nd the city of Rotterdam has officially opened Aqua Dock, a brand new hub for waterinnovations.
At Aqua Dock you can test, demonstrate and produce waterinnovations, like floating offices, hotels and gardens. The first tenants are Urban Green and the consortium Houtdok led by TNO.
Aqua Dock plays an important role in the ambition of Rotterdam to be a pioneer in the field of climate adapted cities and smart sustainable harbours. Adriaan Visser, alderman of Rotterdam, officially opened Aqua Dock: “Building on the water is the future. Here at RDM Rotterdam, at the heart of the Rotterdam Innovation District, Aqua Dock is the beautiful result of sharing knowledge, innovation and unexpected crossovers. Aqua Dock offers a wide range of business opportunities.”
