International Mother Earth Day- commit to restoring the planet

Earth Day is the moment to reflect on human’s interactions with nature, and to demonstrate support and commitment to protecting the environment.

“Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is a chance to set the world on a cleaner, greener, more sustainable path,” said UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, in a statement.

It has long been the belief of Blue21 that we must shift from sustaining our planet to restoring it. If we want to transition towards a sustainable economy, we must nurture nature back to health.

In the face of climate change, rising sea-level, urbanization and overpopulation, floating urban development can make cities more resilient, creates space for new eco-systems and enables bio-based economies to flourish.
