Nanjing City delegation visiting Blue21 at Buccaneer Delft

Last Friday at Buccaneer, Blue21 cofounder and managing director, Karina Czapiewska, and project manager, Vicky Lin, received a delegation from Qinhuai District of Nanjing City, China. The delegation made a special stop in Delft to meet Blue21 and to learn about floating urban development.

Cities are growing worldwide and many are seeking for innovative solutions for making the built environment more sustainable and future-proof. Amongst which the idea of creating addtional values and space on water is particularly appealing.

In collaboration with Helsinki Partners, Blue21 is honored to receive the guests from Nanjing City. The delegation consists of governmental officials from Qinhuai District of Nanjing City, Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Nanjing Mingshang Investment Holding Group. Blue21 cofounder Karina Czapiewska gave a company presentation, introducing our team, expertise and experience developing and leading this unique market. Our guests found floating urban and maritime development very inspiring and had questions about materials used for floating platforms and maintenance issues.

The discussion was very positive and fruitful. We look forward to future collaboration with our guests and work towards a sustainable floating future in Asia.
