Rutger de Graaf-van Dinther is among the three finalists who are in the race to win the royal Prins Friso Ingenieursprijs 2016.

Rutger co-founded Blue21, Deltasync and Indymo. Each company serves a greater cause: solving some of the biggest problems of the 21st century, like sea level rise, land shortage and global warming. How? By realizing floating cities with a positive impact on the planet. Rutger and his team want to do this together with other engineers, students, researchers, entrepreneurs; anyone who shares their vision. You can catch up in this 1 minute video clip.

The awards ceremony will be on the 16th of March at the Hogeschool Inholland Delft, together with Princess Beatrix and Princess Mabel.
