Waterpioneering at Amsterdam International Water Week 2015
DeltaSync and INDYMO will be presenting at the Amsterdam International Water Week from 2-6 November 2015.
Barbara Dal Bo Zanon…
… from DeltaSync will discuss about the potential of productive floating developments for delta and coastal cities. Estimations performed for three case studies show how closing nutrient cycles – by growing algae and food in floating developments – could contribute to delta cities’ resilience in the fields of energy and food.
Session: Resource Recovery and the Circular Economy
Tuesday 3 November, 14:25 – 15:45 hrs, location: G105
Rui Lima and Floris Boogaard…
… from INDYMO will present their research about the use of underwater drones to measure water quality under floating structures. Numerous tests have been performed for several locations around the Netherlands and have shown interesting relations between floating structures and biodiversity.
Efthymia Foka…
… from Delft University of Technology will present the results of a water quality measurement at the Harnaschpolder in Delft, where six floating houses were built.
Session: Innovative Urban Design
Wednesday 4 November, 14.25 – 15.45 hrs, location: G109
